Fikile Mbalula dragged over coals for anti-dagga tweet: 'Insangu is not drugs'

On Tuesday the ConCourt ruled that it was no longer illegal to use dagga in private- however, not everyone agrees with the decision.

Fikile Mbalula might be one of the most lit politicians around but he is not planning on becoming a stoner anytime soon.

In fact, the former Police Minister thinks decriminalising weed was a really bad idea. Taking to social media, Mbaweezy gave his two cents on the legalisation of Cannabis.

"There is a causal link between drugs , alcohol & violent crime which is prevalent in SA compounded by high level of youth unemployment & social moral delinquency. Liberalisation of dagga and alcohol consumption without proper regulations constitute a recipe for a serious crisis," he captioned the post.

However, Briefly.co.za gathered tweeps did not agree with Mr Fearfokkol, and they shut him down immediately.

Social media user @ThatDick_Teekay commented, "Did Dagga smokers bankrupt SABC, ESKOM & SAA? Did Dagga smokers increase VAT & petrol? Did Dagga smokers get arrested for cash in transit heists? All of these bad things in SA have 1 common denominator...the ANC. Leave us alone with our Dagga, go& loot somewhere, izinto zeno lezo."
