Actress Lala Tuku proudly graduates on her grandmother’s birthday

It was a sweet moment as South African actress and media personality Lala Tuku graduated yesterday — which was her grandmother's birthday.

Lala shared the exciting news on her Instagram and Twitter pages, Briefly.co.za learned. She obtained her qualification from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

In one post, she paid a heartfelt tribute to her grandma for raising her when her dad passed away.

A proud Lala wrote:

I am who I am because of you. You raised me with such dignity, grace, strength and love. Today I bestow you with the degree; it’s yours.

Lala is the managing director of film production company, Clive Morris Productions. It congratulated her in a post on Twitter.

The talented media personality also posted photos of herself with her mom. She joined her at her graduation ceremony. Lala wrote:

We are graduating mama! In her hands she holds both my qualifications and always walks just a small step in front of me ... always.

Lala's two kids, a son and a daughter, were not left behind. They were pictured congratulating her with big kisses.
