Vladimir Putin shows off his sniper skills in viral video

The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin talented in other things aside from politics. Apparently the Russian head of state quite the gifted marksman.

A video was posted on social media recently which showed Putin testing out the new Kalashnikov new rifle, where he shot targets 600 meters away.

The video was posted on Sputnik's YouTube channel on Wednesday, 19 September, and gathered over 30k views, Briefly.co.za learned.

"The Russian president took aim at targets at a distance of 600 meters with Kalashnikov's new rifle during his visit to the company's shooting range in Kubinka outside Moscow," the post was captioned.

According to eNCA, Rossiya 24 television reported the Russian president's technique in the video is similar to that of a professional sniper.

Apparently Putin kept his finger on the trigger and shot between heartbeats while holding his breath.

It is not the first time Putin tested military equipment, in 2011 a video of the Russian president was shared where he became a tank commander.
