Mlindo The Vocalist opens up about love and being ‘the other guy’

Mlindo The Vocalist dropped his fire track ‘Amablesser’ but he has finally revealed that the inspiration behind the song comes from his own experiences in love.

The young musician is still pretty new to the music scene but his track ‘Amablesser’ has earned him quite a following although not many listeners know that the catchy song is about his girlfriend leaving him for a blesser.

He was absolutely heartbroken at the time and turned to writing music as a way of dealing with his grief.

Briefly.co.za learned that Lindokuhle Mgedezi, better known as Mlindo, took the break up badly and that there were days when he couldn’t even get up to leave the house.

Thankfully something good came from his heartbreak and he has become one of Mzansi’s most promising new artists.

Mlindo’s career was fast-tracked after DJ Maphorisa spotted him performing an acoustic cover of ‘Midnight Staring’ n social media and immediately asked if they could work together.

At this time, Maphorisa only knew Mlindo could cover songs but he wanted to know if the young artist had ever given writing a go.

He immediately showed him the lyrics for ‘Amablesser’ and the rest is history.

TimesLIVE reports that the musician has come out to say that he would never want to become a blesser because it hurts everyone involved and he would never want to put someone else through that.

However, he does understand why some people choose to live that lifestyle and respects their choice in who they have a relationship with.

Although Mlindo is a bit of a ‘blesser’ to his family because he does have a big heart and does whatever he can to help his family out.

His mother is unemployed, and she relies on him to be the breadwinner in the family, which Mlindo is more than happy to do because if it wasn’t for her, he would never be where he is today.
