Enhle Lucinda Khumalo has paid a heartfelt tribute to her late grandmother after obtaining a master's degree in Political Studies from Wits University.
Enhle shared the news on her Facebook profile recently, Briefly.co.za gathered. She shared photos of herself and her late grandma at her previous graduation.
The 24-year-old said this is the first time she will celebrate a major milestone without her grandmother. She praised her for taking her to "the finish line."
Enhle dedicated her degree to her grandmother and mother, adding that she looks forward to the next chapter of her life.
She and her sister Mbali are the founders of MbaliEnhlesis, a fashion company that sells African-influenced merchandise.
Last year, they made the news for using part of their profits to donate 3,000 sanitary towels for the benefit of schoolgirls in need. Speaking to Beautiful News, Enhle said:
Through our efforts, we've been able to change girls' lives, restoring their dignity. The most rewarding part of this is seeing the power people have when they come together. We really do need each other.
