Disturbing footage has made its way on social media, which showed a train station destroyed by angry commuters.
On Friday, footage surfaced on social media which showed buildings destroyed and cars burning because a train arrived late.
Yusuf Abramjee shared the shocking videos on Twitter and Briefly.co.za learned the incident took place in Umlazi in KwaZulu-Natal.
According to Abramjee's posts, commuters went on a rampage, setting fire to cars and destroying property, after the train they were waiting on arrived 10 minutes late.
Abramjee shared several videos of the incident which showed the extent of the damage done by the commuters.
"Look at the damage! Umlazi outside Durban where commuters went on the rampage after a train arrived 10 minutes late," he captioned one of the videos.
The footage caused outrage on social media, with tweeps losing the ability to understand the anger in so many South Africans.
Mntungwa, who goes by the Twitter handle @lungas4jlo, said: "If something doesn't belong to you, it's so easy to destroy it. With this rate, we not moving forward at all but backwards."
However, some tweeps believe they were not getting the full story. According to them, these trains are often late, and not just for 10 minutes.
