‘Imbewu’ actress Enhle Gambushe tragically lost her life in a car crash on Durban’s Botanic Gardens Road, and the man behind the wheel has been released on bail earlier this week.
The driver, who has been identified as Obed Dube was arrested on the scene for driving under the influence and has since been charged with culpable homicide for killing the young actress and her friend Samke Majola.
Dube will be appearing in the Durban Magistrate’ court in October, but currently he has been released on R4000 bail.
Briefly.co.za learned that there were five occupants in the car at the time of the accident that sadly claimed the lives of Enhle and Samke, but police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
ZAlebs reports that one of Enhle’s co-workers on ‘Imbewu’, Portia Ncwane took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to the actress upon learning about her passing.
The actress mentioned that she had become very close to Enhle and is saddened by the fact that she will not be able to see her again.
Portia still has so much to tell her friend an regrets that she will never get the chance to tell her.
