A video has been circulating on social media that allegedly shows white South Africans training to 'defend the land'. However, a member of parliament took to social media to try and convince people they shouldn't believe it as real.
A video of different people shooting of firearms in different locations, is allegedly showing white people getting ready to fight against land expropriation.
John Jeffrey, Deputy minister of justice and constitutional development, decided to address the video, pointing out the reason it can't possibly be of South Africans.
John refers to the steering wheels of the vehicle in the video, which are on the left, while ours are on the right.
The video shows various white people firing off automatic and semi-automatic weapons, and can't be proven to be from South Africa.
Here's what some South Africans had to say about the video:
@blaqdegree - This is an edited clip of shooting club in america. The video is a lead to division by people that have no love for south africa
@DiscoGnu - Dude, this is quite clearly spliced together videos of American hillbillies not South African right-wingers.
@Mikobear - Agreed there is no braai fire in sight.. It can't be here
