Cassper Nyovest is no stranger to backlash and this time he got dragged after he said black people are holding each other down.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, rapper Cassper Nyovest gave his two cents on slavery and black people's progress in South Africa.
However, his views were not very popular with tweeps and he got slammed for his opinion on the subject.
"I travel the world. I’m blessed enough to sit in first class&business lounges&I often find myself being the only black person there. The 400 years of slavey thing just hit me now. We are sooo behind&the only thing we are extremely good at for now is pulling each other down," he wrote.
Briefly.co.za learned tweeps were enraged by his tweet and some even called him an arrogant celeb, who is just like the others.
Social media user @SiveSnr wrote, "'slavery thing' , this signify the fact that you're ignorant as f**k. And the same black people you talk about are the one's following you on social media, buying your music, helping you sit in that business class and buy your Bentleys. You need to respect people."
