Heritage Day is one of Mzansi’s best public holidays as it allows us to celebrate our multitude of cultures, as one. The traditional attire worn by all different cultures is one of the best parts, aside from the food.

Briefly.co.za noticed that this year, celebs really got involved by representing their roots. There were many Mzansi celebs that got dressed up in traditional attire and showed off their heritage.

It is a beautiful thing to see when people are proud of where they came from, especially people who are constantly in the public eye. Celebs past are generally forgotten and it was nice to see what moulded them.

Hlubi Mboya , Amanda Du Pont, Simphiwe Ngema, Pearl Modiadie, Thuso Mbedu and Johanna Mukoki are just some who took the opportunity to show their pride in their roots.
