Xola Mlambo credits Rhulani Mokwena for his run of success in PSL

Orlando Pirates midfielder Xola “Ten-Ten” Mlambo has credited the club’s assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena for helping him with his current run of success. Mlambo has been in scintillating form this season and was named as Orlando Pirates player of the month in August.

Mlambo said he and Mokwena had a great working relationship and that Mokwena had been pushing him extremely hard in training which has really had a positive effect on his performances. Mlambo said there was no doubt that Mokwena was the secret to his success.

Mlambo is currently in his second season at Orlando Pirates and has thus far played in each of the side’s matches. He has quickly earned a place in the hearts of Orlando Pirates supporter because of his passion and flair.

Briefly.co.za gathered that Mlambo not only credited assistant coach Mokwena with his success but added that his teammates had also played a major role in his development and overall happiness at the club.

Sport24.com reported that Mlambo said his performances only came because the coaching staff were pushing hard, his teammates were putting in the extra effort and the environment at the club was such that it allowed players to thrive.

Mokwena joined Orlando Pirates from Mamelodi Sundowns where he was credited with helping midfield players achieve incredible results.

Mlambo’s recent run of form has led to many speculating that he will make an appearance for Bafana Bafana sooner rather than later.

Orlando Pirates will play their next PSL match against Golden Arrows on Wednesday 3 October.
