- ANC member Sam Ndlovu claims he can prove the ANC was captured before the state was
- According to Ndlovu, Zuma was in the Guptas' pockets and handed over an idea of his to them
- Ndlovu now wants to testify at the state capture inquiry
Stan Ndlovu, ANC veteran, expressed his desire to testify at the state capture inquiry. Ndlovu wants to share the knowledge he has on the ANC.
According to Ndlovu, the political party was captured way before the state was.
Ndlovu claims that a television concept that he created was stolen by the Gupta family after he shared it with Jacob Zuma and other import members of the ANC.
The show was allegedly used to launch the Guptas' ANN7 channel. The name of Ndlovu's concept was 'Freedom Television'. The show was to reveal the undocumented history of the African National Congress.
The Citizen reports that Ndlovu insists that his concept document, as well as business plan, was taken to the Guptas by Zuma.
Ndlovu has now approached Raymond Zondo's Commission of Inquiry into State Capture. He wants to share his information with the commission and prove that the ruling party was captured even before the state was.
Ndlovu has been working with Zuma since 1986 and is the custodian of the ANC's archives. These archives date back as far as when Thabo Mbeki and Oliver Tambo's exile years.
He hopes that MultiChoice - who would have launched his show - would share ANN7's business plan so it can be compared with his.
Kenneth Nxumalo of MultiChoice said questions about the company's role in the project would be referred to the executive chairperson.
