Mzansi is still reeling after news broke that ‘Intersexions’ actress Shoki Mokgapa has passed away at the age of 34.
Briefly.co.za learned that Shoki’s manager, Billy Nashoda broke the news to the public on the behalf of her family, however no further details regarding her death have been made known.
Shoki has been on Mzansi’s TV screens since 2008 in her first role as a personal assistant in ‘The Lab’ but has since gone on to star in multiple feature films and TV series.
Tributes for the SAFTA winning actress have been pouring in as fans and other industry professionals mourn the loss of such a vibrant person.
Fellow actors and crew members are particularly saddened to hear the news as Shoki had a promising future ahead of her and are saddened that they won’t ever be able to see how far she would have made it.
TimesLIVE reports that Shoki has bagged multiple awards and she had begun looking at acting opportunities internationally.
In an interview on ‘Afternoon Express’, she revealed that she would one day move overseas, and she hoped to only pursue a career in acting in movies, however she does admit that she would still jump at any opportunity that comes her way.
