Sho Madjozi is hitting the big leagues after she bagged a gig in New York for the Global Citizen Festival.
While she is no stranger to rubbing shoulders with international superstars, Sho Madjozi excitedly revealed that she will be the only artist to represent Africa at the festival and she will be performing alongside Janet Jackson and Cardi B.
Originally there were no African artists on the bill, so naturally the young musician jumped at the huge opportunity, but it does mean that she will be missing some gigs at home.
She had been booked to play at the Homecoming Africa festival and was scheduled to do some smaller shows, which she will be cancelling to take up the life-changing event overseas.
ZAlebs reports that Sho Madjozi is heartsore about disappointing her fans but she is grateful for the support and the understanding that they have shown her.
Not too long ago, Briefly.co.za reported that the young rapper had recorded a song with Coldplay front-man, Chris Martin and now with the Global Citizen Festival added to her already impressive resume, it won’t be long until we see Sho Madjozi taking over the international music scene.
