5 Mzansi celeb beauts that rock the proudly South African doek look

South Africa is a land rich in culture, however, nut not all of the cultural attire is particularly on point when it comes to fashion. The one thing that has made a swift come back and can look absolutely stunning, is the doek.

The doek was seen as a conservative piece of attire for many years, but no more. Some are wearing it so well that it looks runway ready.

Briefly.co.za learnt that with all the beautiful colours, fabrics and patterns available, the doek got the facelift it needed.

The doek has always been worn as a sign of respect. Even though it went out for a while, it was still worn at funerals, when visiting elders, or to indicate a married woman, reported ZAlebs. Now that it’s back in, women are rocking it left right and centre.
