The founder and leader of Togo-based CCI Temple of Holy Spirit, Pastor Melchizedek Maranatha Mashia’h, has put a smile on the face of one staff member of the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi by giving her a car and fuel coupon for her kindness.
According to a report sighted on Ghanaweb.com, the popular preacher, who was on a trip to Ghana to open a branch of his church in the Ashanti region, was treated kindly by one of by the hotel's waitresses known as Rosina Sowah.
Pastor Melchizedek Maranatha Mashia’h who was speaking on why he gave such a gift revealed that he wanted to prove to Africans that being kind to people had a lot of benefits.
The preacher revealed that when he checked in at the hotel, a male receptionist he met was rather rude to him and offered him a 'dusty, rat-infested' room without sheets to lodge in even though he was paying $150 (R2 133) per night.
According to the story, the male receptionist reportedly thwarted Pastor Melchizedek Maranatha Mashia’h's efforts to report the matter to the hotel's senior management.
The story went on to reveal that the receptionist refused to change the room for the pastor upon his requests and went on to warn other staff of the hotel not to change the room for the pastor.
Rosina Sowah, who had just began her shift when the issue came up, did everything within her power to change the room for Pastor Melchizedek Maranatha Mashia’h and was also very hospitable.
She went on to apologise for the inconvenience and was on call to assist the man of God with his needs to make his stay comfortable.
After being treated with kindness after his first encounter with the male receptionist, moved the pastor to reward Rosina for having 'all the patience' in the world to assist a total stranger.
Pastor Melchizedek Maranatha Mashia’h, in showing appreciation, called Rosina Sowah, introduced himself as a 'Man from God' and asked what she wanted God to do for her.
Rosina is believed to have requested to be able to conceive and give birth to twins. The pastor however asked what she readily needed and she responded by saying she could do with a car.
Her wish was granted Pastor Melchizedek Maranatha Mashia’h out of the goodness of his heart, gifted Rosina a Hyundai Sonata and topped it up with a R29 783,47 fuel voucher from Goil.
The male receptionist is reported to have disappeared from the hotel. It is yet to be ascertained whether he has been punished by the hotel's management or was on leave.
This is not the first time a pastor 'blessed' someone with a car gift. Many preachers in Ghana, including Reverend Obofour and Prophet Badu-Kobi, are noted for also giving out cars to some of their congregants.
Rev. Obofour recently gifted a brand new 4x4 car to Kumawood actor Wayoosi during one of his church services.
