Mlindo the Vocalist wants to be the next DJ Tira. After breaking into the industry, the musician has had some major success. Now, his goal is to build an empire like Afrotainment.
On Monday, the AmaBlesser hitmaker released his first album, Emakhaya. His album has been praised far and wide. Mlindo said he feels overwhelmed by all the love and support from his fans.
TshisaLIVE reported Mlindo hopes to be the youngest music mogul in South Africa, adding he’ll embrace every opportunity he can until then.
Briefly.co.za learned that in three years, Mlindo wants to be the youngest Tira.
“I want to own my own record label and entertainment company. I want my name to be respected in that way. I am working hard for that goal and studying the music business as much as possible."
Growing up in the small KZN town of Port Shepstone, Mlindo hopes to give young artists a chance, because he has first hand experience at how hard it is to make it big when you’re far away from big cities.
"I want to put other kids on. They need to know that anyone can make it and where they live or their environment doesn't determine who they are.”
Mlindo said there are spans of talented artists. His goal is to make their dreams come true and show SA their talent.
The musician said he wants to open a record label with his brothers and people close to him. He will then start his talent search.
Mlindo has kept true to his promise, having already punted several young artists on his album.
He also rubs shoulders with some of the country’s biggest names, which include Sjava and Kwesta.
He’s all for local is lekker, not only musically, but also in fashion. Mlindo supports local creatives and designers on his social media pages.
