Arts and Culture minister congratulates Thuso Mbedu for 2nd Emmy nomination

Thuso Mbedu made South Africa proud again with her second International Emmy Award nomination. SA's Arts and Culture minister Nathi Mthethwa was so proud that he took to social media to congratulate the actress.

Thuso was nominated for her role as Winnie in the first season of Mzansi Magic's Isthunzi last year. This year, she's nominated again, for the same role, this time in season two.

Obviously, Thuso is killing it in her current role and proving to the world she has buckets of talent.

Nathi Mthethwa, South Africa's Arts and Culture minister, is incredibly proud of Thuso, saying she brought honour to SA's acting industry.

He tweeted: We welcome @ThusoMbedu's articulation of the importance of being authentic & displaying what it means to be African on global platforms.
