Bonang Matheba has flourished this past year. Her success is on another level and there is no stopping her. Despite all her achievements, B feels that she is misjudged.
In a recent interview with TshisaLIVE, she opened up on how she feels like people misunderstand her, especially on home soil.
Taking her success to international water, B understands that she is now in unknown territory, but she does not understand why people back home, still hate on her.
B was recently in New York and it was then that she realised how badly she was thought of back home. She stated that there have been ‘misconceptions over the course of her career, especially in her country’, reported Times Live.
People have labelled her as many things, but the most popular is that of Ice Queen as they accuse her of being a cold hearted b*itch. Harsh much?
Briefly.co.za learnt that she feels that people are threatened by her strength and focus and therefore they judge her negatively. B would have let this worry her in the beginning, but now, she has no time for haters. “Either you want to know me or you don't," B said.
“If being strong, thorough and knowing what you want makes me a b*tch, then that is fine. Those aren't bad traits,” B put plainly.
No matter what you do, people will judge you. B made it clear that her ‘job is not to change the misconceptions but to live her life with purpose’. Yus babes!
B has no time for people and their insignificant drama. She is by no means a pushover and we have seen this first hand, especially over social media.
She always try’s her best to never stoop to hater’s levels, but sometimes you got to get a little ghetto to get a point across. B feels that her ‘responses are always incredibly classy, funny, sarcastic’.
Bonang does a lot of good, especially with her foundation, but people will always hate on those who are what they can never be.
With her great wisdom, power and endless experience, B is set to start an initiative to empower young women. B is extremely excited about this and is prepared to do the most to make it happen.
