With so many petrol price hikes, it is no wonder that South Africans take to social media to bemoan the situation. One tweep, parody account @AdvBarryRoux, made a list of tips and South Africans agreed with him, especially one point that he made about voting the ANC out.
Twitter user @AdvBarryRoux shared some tips on saving money now that the petrol prices are eating our hard-earned moola, and tweeps couldn't agree with him more.
Tips on saving petrol
1. Don't wait until car is on empty to fill, fill immediately!
2. Close your windows when driving.
3. Don't accelerate sharply
4. Avoid unnecessary weight on the car.
5. Don't use aircon
6. Vote ANC out for better life for all. #PetrolPrice #FuelPriceHike
People mostly agreed with point 6 - Vote the ANC out:
@mahlatse_mf - No 6. We get frustrated every now and then. 15% VAT. Our pres and ministers have annual salaries amounting to millions they don't feel this pinch. Phela ANC is becoming a pain
@Bheki55132382 - No. 6 is an effective and permanent solution to the main problem
@ZakheleMkhize96 - The No.1 tip on saving petrol: Do not vote ANC next year.
