Riky Rick is tired of black people dying, and Twitter agrees

Rikhado 'Riky Rick' Makhado has taken to social media to express his frustration with black people killing black people.

This week the Westbury protest has once again shed light on the violence, which is crippling the country.

And, like other South Africans, Riky Rick is fed up with people being killed- so, he took to social media to share his views.

The rapper, who recently lost a friend as a result of gun fire, said he was tired of black people killing black people and he called for it to stop.

"TIRED OF BLACK PEOPLE KILLING OTHER BLACK PEOPLE. LETS STOP THAT S@#*. WE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH ALREADY. ITS ENOUGH," he wrote on Twitter on Monday.

Briefly.co.za gathered the musician's tweet sparked quite the reaction on social media, with tweeps giving their two cents on the issue.

Social media user @King_Zee_Kay wrote, "Mis-educaton, self hate and poverty are the root of black on black crime sir."
Another tweep, @BlackBo91102123, commetned: "We killing each other for the coins Rick if you could share that side of heart on your music it would be an inspiration."
Cornell, who goes by the Twitter handle @Cornell88757601, added: "Let's up lift each other the world has changed a lot of people who died past years ago would have appreciated this freedom we have today."
