Has Ace Magashule really changed his attitude towards Cyril Ramaphosa?

The general belief is that there is a struggle for balance and power and corruption and divisions are causing rifts within the ruling party.

Magashule did say that he and the president are working together and they won't allow a wedge to be driven between them, but political analysts don't buy it.

The Citizen reports that Magashule is simply trying to save his skin and knows he's being watched closely now.

Magashule has always been loyal to Zuma and his meeting with him that led to reports of a plot to get rid of Ramaphosa should be taken seriously.

This is according to political analyst Mcebisi Ndletyana, as reported on by Briefly.co.za.

So just how serious is this new-found loyalty to Ramaphosa?

That is something that only time will tell. But with Magashule aware of all eyes on him, perhaps it will be hard to discern whether his words were sincere or not.
