Durban's Botanic Gardens has removed old artwork that shows the previous and current South African flags.
Many people have complained about the artwork being offensive.
The mural has been in the Botanic Gardens for years but it was hastily removed after the African National Congress called for its immediate removal.
The ANCYL demanded that the art be removed or they will take it down. The league also demanded that the Durban Botanic Gardens Trust publicly apologise for holding on to something that belongs in the dustbin.
Briefly.co.za reported earlier that South Africans were disgusted by the display of the old South African flag, which symbolises the oppression of the majority for many people.
