Actress Thuso Mbedu warned her fans to be on the lookout for fake social media accounts in her name.
On Tuesday, Mbedu was made aware of people using her to troll other people. The Emmy nominee was made aware of the situation when a tweep shared a screenshot of a fake Thuso Mbedu Facebook profile.
Luyanda Kopana, who goes by the Twitter handle @LuyandaKopana, wrote to Mbedu: "Baby people are using your name to do crazy things to others. I came across this post and thought I should let you know sweets."
The post caught the attention of the talented actress and she could hardly believe it.
Mbedu then went on to tell her fans that her Facebook account is verified and they should not trust any other profiles.
"Please note that my Facebook page is verified. I don't know what this nonsense is. Eish guys," she said.
Her posts sparked a reaction from her fans, who could not believe she was being used by an impostor to catfish others.

Luyanda Kopana added, "people are cruel out there. Don't worry sisi ndizakuncedisa ukwazisa abantu about that fake account."
