Yet another criminal case has been opened against a person who allegedly called a black person the k-word.
Nditsheni Singeni opened a case against a guest at the Halyards Hotel in Port Alfred. Nditsheni was left shaken by the incident and says she's been suffering sleepless nights since it happened.
According to Nditsheni (56), she was cleaning a room on Friday, 28 September, at about 11 am, when the guest of the next-door room came down the hallway, talking very loudly and swearing.
She said she looked on in amazement as he walked past her and in his anger said: "My room is f***ing filthy‚ you f***ing k****r,".
Captain Mali Govender of the SAPS has confirmed that a crimen injuria case has been opened. The SowetanLIVE reports that an investigation will take place and the case will then be forwarded to the senior public prosecutor.
The Halyards Hotel's manager, Freddie du Preez, has confirmed that he has been informed of the incident.
