A family locked out of their home by their landlord for not paying three months’ rent is enough for any of us to feel sorry for them and try and help where we can.

This is exactly what happened to a family in Mzansi and it took the nation by storm.

Twitter blew up over the matter and people came together to assist the family on Tuesday. It even caught the sight of Mzansi’s famous DJ Cleo, but not in the way that the rest of Mzansi saw it, reported Times Live.

Thanks to the public, this family was finally able to return to their home, but that did not settle well with Cleo.

Briefly.co.za learnt that DJ Cleo was dubious about their story. He noticed that they were dressed in designer clothing and this questioned why the rent had not been paid and just where did their priorities lie?

After DJ Cleo had notice the expensive clothing the family was wearing he made it his mission to make it known and prove his point.

The man that was behind the post was commended by Cleo, but commented that if people are able to afford designer shoes, then surely, they are able to pay their rent.

It seems that the outrage of the family being evicted was more important than the fact that they may have played on people’s heart strings. Cleo’s post received next to no reaction.
