Premier League giants Chelsea continued with their impressive performance this season in the Europa League championship beating Hungarian club Videoton 1-0 on Thursday night, October 4.
The hope of all Chelsea fans was that Videoton would be annihilated at Stamford Bridge, but the club fought a good battle only for them to concede 20 minutes to the end of the match.
Cesc Fabregas lifted the ball up and Brazilian star Willian flicked it for Spanish striker Alvaro Morata to score the winning goal for Chelsea in the 70th minute.
Morata also had another chance to score the second goal for the Blues at the death, but his shot was well saved by Videoton goalkeeper Tomas Tujuel.
Chelsea won the match 1-0 and they are now topping Europa League Group L with six points after two games played.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Ajax youngster Donny Van De Beek reportedly emerged as a January 2018 transfer target for Premier League giants Chelsea who are ready to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
This season, the 21-year-old midfielder has been superb for Ajax after coming through the club's academy and has made a name for himself.
