Velaphi Khumalo went on a verbal rant against white people two years ago and has now had to own up to his actions.
Khumalo was found guilty of hate speech by the Equality Court after saying on social media that South Africa should be cleansed of white people. He referred to doing so in the way Hitler treated the Jews.
Judge Roland Sutherland ruled that Khumalo must write a public apology to all South Africans.
Khumalo was further interdicted from repeating the words he said and ordered to remove any references to it from all social media platforms.
News24 reports that Khumalo will also carry the financial costs of the case. A copy of Khumalo's case file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Velaphi Khumalo went on his rant on social media in 2016, as reported on earlier by Briefly.co.za.
