- Highlands Park have reportedly signed Elliot Seema
- TUT claim no knowledge of the transfer and will react if true
- This could potentially be a second controversial transfer as Park still uncertain of Tendai Ndoro’s eligibility
Highlands Park seem to have a knack for complicated transfers this season. The Lions of the north signed Tendai Ndoro from Ajax earlier this season – whose availability is unknown following Ajax’s points deduction at the end of last season. Now, it’s emerged that another challenging transfer may be on the horizon.
As reported in Kickoff.com, Park’s coach Owen da Gama confirmed the signing of centre back Elliot Seema. The 25 year old recently represented TUT at the Varsity Cup. Prior to that, he was a member of the Polokwane City team last year.
However, manager of the TUT team, Machesa Kgomo, is unaware of the transfer and has taken exception to the reports on the matter. Kgomo says "In the first place we are not even aware that our captain is training with Highlands Park, It's a big shock even to hear that he has signed.” He added that the club would appeal to FIFA if there is substance to the rumor as TUT were never consulted.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Seema is indeed training with the Tembisa based team but the contract situation remains to be clarified. Until then, we wait with baited breath.
