- Khama Billiat recently won the player of the month award but not ready for Europe
- The Amakhosi forward scored twice and provided 2 assists in September
- Billiat credits the team for his success and says he still needs to grow before considering a move abroad
Kaizer Chiefs forward, Khama Billiat, was named Absa premiership player of the month for September but isn’t getting too carried away with his success. While many have touted him for bigger and better things abroad, the Zimbabwean feels he hasn’t paid his dues yet.
Following the announcement of his player of the month award, he told the media “Every player wants to play in Europe, but it can only happen when you’re doing good, I don’t think that I’ve done enough. I always want to do better and improve my game,”
Another example of his humility is when he credited the award to his team mates and technical team at Chiefs. He said “I would like to thank all the players and the technical team. It is not about me, I think we all had a great run as a team up until now. We are looking at improving and we have a goal we want to achieve.”
Billiat scored twice and notched 2 assists as his form inspired The Glamour Boys to 3 wins in September. The performance of the team as a whole also resulted in Giovanni Solinas being named coach of the month.
