Twitter mourns former SAfm senior presenter on Morning Talk, Rowena Baird

Radio legend Rowena Baird passed away after a long battle with cancer. SABC confirmed the sad news on Friday. South Africans admired Rowena's compassionate nature and took to social media to voice their heartache.

Friday morning saw the sad moment when Rowena Baird lost her battle against colon cancer. Her family confirmed the tragic loss.

Neo Momodu of the SABC informed the country of Rowena's passing and expressed their sorrow at her death.

Rowena has been in the broadcasting world since the middle 1980's.
