The album has brought Shekinah major success in the past year and it has received massive airplay across the country.

‘Please Mr’ and ‘Suited were the first tracks to be released off of the album and they have both made a steady climb up music charts around the world.

While all the tracks on the album have a special place in Shekinah’s heart, it is fair to say that ‘Suited’ has far more meaning than the others.

The love song is based on Shekinah’s relationship with her bae, Lungelo Xaba, who also happens to make a special appearance in the track’s touching music video.

Due to the song’s popularity, it was used in an advert for Nestle Coffee and not long after, the single reached diamond status.

The third track to be released is ‘Different’ and a month later, the song has already been downloaded over 10 000 times.

ZAlebs reports that ‘Rosegold’ has already gone platinum in South Africa, but it continues to make waves abroad.

Mzansi has been captivated by the Durban singer and her unique style and vocals, so it will be interesting to see what Shekinah has in store for her next album.
