South Africa's former president, Jacob Zuma, will have to own up to the rumours of a plot to get rid of the current president.
Zuma is expected to appear before the African National Congress' top six to account for the alleged plot.
The rumour of a plot led by Zuma and several ANC members surfaced a while back and had South Africa buzzing.
The ANC will hold a meeting that Zuma will attend and give answers to some burning questions, according to a report by The South African.
Secret meetings by ANC's Secretary-General Ace Magashule and former NW Premier Supra Mahumapelo with Zuma got tongues wagging, as reported on by Briefly.co.za.
Magashule admitted to the meeting but denied the allegations and said nothing could drive a wedge between him and President Ramaphosa.
According to Magashule, the ANC is united, not torn in loyalty.
The president addressed these rumours and those who “meet in dark corners” and plot to divide the ruling party. He asked what their agenda is if they want to divide the ANC.
It is not clear yet when this meeting will be held but all those involved in the rumour will be expected to attend.
