Video shows thug using a kid to steal from an old lady

South Africans were left disgusted after a video was shared on social media which showed a little girl stealing from an elderly woman.

The footage showed a gogo paying for her goods while a little girl hovered close to her. The next moment a lady is seen approaching and getting the elderly lady's attention while the young girl goes through her handbag.

The young girl is then seen taking out something from the handbag before walking away without the gogo noticing.

The video was shared on Twitter on Monday on MakeSASafe's page, with the caption: "Disgusting how children are used to commit crime. @Abramjee @SAPoliceService @NamolaApp @GP_CommSafety."

Briefly.co.za gathered the video sparked outrage on Twitter, with tweeps expressing their disgust over a child's involvement in the robbery.

Social media user @AluwaniMicheal wrote, "Haimaan this is very disgusting & disturbing. At this age being taught to be a criminal and when she reach 15 she has degree of stealing then we blame gov. Some other parent's don't deserve the title of being parent's nxa."
Kagisano, who goes by the Twitter handle @gotnameforme, commented: "Degrees in all trades of crimes and having her own university training two year old how to rob and manipulate their victims. This is disgusting."
