Cassper Nyovest’s song about Tito Mboweni goes international

Social media users have been tweeting up a storm after Cassper Nyovest’s song about SA’s new finance minister Tito Mboweni, caught the attention of international news channel, CNN.

Since Mboweni's appointment, hashtags such as ‘TitoMboweni’ and ‘ShaSha’ have been trending and it’s all thanks to Mufasa himself.

Last year, Cassper released the track which spoke about becoming successful and earning money, never in his wildest dreams did the rapper think that this song would be as popular as it is right now.

The music video has been spreading like wildfire on social media, and it even caught the attention of American news broadcaster, CNN.

According to TimesLIVE a correspondent for CNN in Joburg mentioned the song during her reportwhich has then made it even more popular than it was.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that tweeps have been welcoming the new minister into his new role with a little ‘Sha Sha’ here and there, although they are pretty disappointed that President Cyril Ramaphosa didn’t use it during Mboweni's ceremony.

While Cassper has been enjoying his international fame, he has now turned his attention his upcoming show at Moses Mabhida and responding to all tweets with his new hashtag #AreYouComingToMabhidaDoe.
