- Skolopad was recently involved in an accident that took the life of an elderly man
- The family of the man want answers and justice
- The police are currently investigating the situation on a case of culpable homicide
It has been a rough year for old Skolopad. From anxiety attack to almost fatal car accidents, the poor woman deserves a break, but it does not look like she will be getting one anytime soon.
Skolopad recently celebrated her birthday in a hospital bed. This was due to an almost fatal car accident that took place on September 22.
The car accident put Skolopad into ICU, but it took the life of a 61-year-old man who was in the car that she collided with, reported Times Live. Makes her celebrating her birthday in a hospital bed look not all that bad now.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the family of the elderly man are adamant on seeking justice for the loss of their loved one. Fred Tlali, is the man who lost his life in the horrific accident and his family feel that justice needs to be served.
Skolopad lost control of her vehicle, swerved into the opposite lane and had a head-on collision with Fred.
There has been no official report or finding on the exact cause of the accident and this is why Fred’s family feel they need closure and some justice for the loss of their loved one.
There were two police officers in the car with Skolopad and her daughter at the time of the accident. This was due to the fact that she had been seen shoving her daughter and was requested to go to the nearest police station for questioning. Both men were also hospitalised.
The policemen and Skolopad were released from hospital last week and poor Fred was laid to rest without any closure on the accident.
Nelson Ntlele, the nephew of the diseased, spoke to TshisaLIVE and expressed that his family were suffering and needed an answer.
"I buried my uncle because of Skolopad and she needs to give us answers,” stated Nelson. The family feels that Skolopad is to blame and that she needs to take responsibility for the death of Fred.
Skolopad has blamed the police officer for the accident. She said that the police officer had grabbed the steering wheel and caused her to swerve into the other lane. Nothing has been confirmed.
Sergeant Mmako Mophiring, on behalf of the SAPS, confirmed that there were two police officers with Skolopad at the time of the accident and that there is a case of culpable homicide, that’s is currently being investigated.
All matters of the event are being considered and investigated. The SAPS agree that there needs to be accountability taken for the accident and that the guilty party will be found and charged accordingly.
