Getting caught in an abusive relationship can happen to any woman. These relationships are also unbelievably hard to get out of. A young woman saw red flags when she was talking to a man and shared her experience on social media.
A young lady was talking to a man on her phone when she realised he would abuse her if she 'did not behave' so she decided to share his opinion with other women and show them the red flags of an abusive man.
The man said that he would not abuse a woman, but that he would want her to behave - this was the first red flag for twitter user @Khutz100.
Tweeps wholeheartedly agreed that the way the man talked gave away that he would find it 'ok' to abuse a woman.
According to StatsSA, one in five women older than 18 have experienced physical violence in their lives. With such a staggering statistic, it is only good when women share this kind of advice with each other.
Perhaps by seeing the warning signs, some women can be spared the humiliation and pain of an abusive relationship.
