-Pitso Mosimane, coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, faces a disciplinary inquiry after scuffle with security guard
-The incident in question occurred during the match against Amazulu
-Sundowns have had some questionable decisions go against them recently and Mosimane fears a conspiracy
Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, has not had lady luck on his side of late. The embattled coach feels his team were hard done by following 2 recent matches.
The latest match saw a 50/50 call go against his chargers, which denied them victory over Bidvest Wits on Sunday.
The Brazilians appealed unsuccessfully as the Wits goalkeeper handled a ball right on the edge of the box.
Now, Mosimane has vented his frustration with the PSL’s charge of assault. Briefly.co.za reported that the letter was issued to Mosimane within 5 days of the incident.
On 16th September, 54-year-old Mosimane had an altercation with a security guard in the match against Amazulu.
Kickoff.com reported the coach’s frustration with the current state of affairs. He said “I was called by the DC, it's an assault. Against Barca, a supporter came in. You were there, what did I do? I hugged him, I ushered him out. It's not the first time I usher them out. That's what happened in Durban. It's an assault”.
The controversy sparked as a supporter invaded the pitch. Mosimane took exception to the security guard’s aggressive stance as the supporter merely tried to show his appreciation of Mosimane.
