- Russia 2018 bronze medal winning star Hazard confirms he wants to move to Spain
- He believes that is the only way for him to win the Ballon d'Or award
- Ronaldo and Messi have shared the last ten editions between them and the French star is hoping moving to Spain can help him win the award
Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has set his eyes in either winning this year's Ballon d'Or or moving to Spain.
The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to join Real Madrid this summer but the deal failed to pull through.
After the 208 FIFA World Cup, the Belgium international revealed that it was time to experience fresh challenge at a different league.
He said that: "it might be time to discover something different."
Hazard has less than two years on his current deal and has refused to sign a new deal with the Stamford Bridge side.
Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have won the last ten editions of the award and this year's might not be excluded.
On the back of this, Hazard said: "That's why I want to go - maybe."
"You can always improve in football. More goals, more assists. The team is helping me a lot, but I can improve, for sure."
NAIJ.com previously reported that Eden Hazard has made it clear that he is not ready to leave Premier League club Chelsea when the January 2019 transfer window opens.
Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid, Eden Hazard has emerged as a target for the Spanish club, and they are ready to come with a big offer in January.
Hazard has scored seven goals in eight Premier League appearances in a time where Real Madrid are struggling to hit the target following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
