-Former Polokwane City defender, Thabiso Semenya, has signed for Baroka FC
-Semenya had trials with a few other clubs but chose Baroka FC
-Baroka FC confirmed the signing of Davies Nkausu from Zambia
After parting ways with Polokwane City in June, Thabiso Semenya, found himself without a club.
At 36 years of age, some clubs may feel his best years are behind him. After trials with Highlands Park and Black Leopards, he still seemed no closer to being offered a contract.
However, Baroka FC have now confirmed his signing on Wednesday and the veteran defender is thrilled to be playing in the PSL again.
Semenya told KickOff.com that he accepted terms with Baroka FC due to his love of football and not due to financial gain.
He cited Baroka’s eagerness in offering him a contract as a major contributing factor. Indeed, their offer was made prior to the player receiving further offers as well.
Semenya has been training with Baroka FC for 3 weeks already but was unable to confirm the reason for the delayed announcement.
The club has also now confirmed the signing of Davies Nkausu from Zambia. Although a Zambian international, all of his club footballing experience has been earned within South Africa.
