Cassper Nyovest’s Tito Mboweni is making waves. Even though it was released in 2017, a lot of noise is been made now in 2018.

What got tongues wagging, was when Mboweni was sworn in as finance minister after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that he had accepted Nhlanhla Nene’s resignation, reported IOL News.

It did not take long after the announcement, for the video of the track to reached over 3 million views, even featuring on international news channels. Twitter streets filled with hundreds quoting the song and not forgetting the famous line, Sha sha.

Briefly.co.za learnt that it is not only people in South Africa but CNN also had a few comments to pass. A CNN Africa correspondent, Eleni Giokos, asked the question if there have been other finance ministers privileged enough to have a song named after them.

During the show a clip from the "Tito Mboweni" music video was aired. In the clip Cassper wrote, Mama we made it on CNN!

Cassper took to Twitter commenting that he is an amazing influencer and if he had taken to heart what haters said a year ago about his track, he would not be enjoying national and international airtime of his song.

Becoming the talk if the town in 2018, the timing could not have been better! Cassper is loving it.
