Cape Town City midfielder, Thabo Nodada, received his debut Bafana Bafana call-up recently and coach Benni McCarthy feels he’ll easily have a successful career in Europe.
Citizens coach Benni McCarthy has waxed lyrical about midfielder Thabo Nodada recently.
McCarthy feels Nodada possesses all the qualities required to make a successful switch to European football.
Among his many strengths, the coach has singled out his incredible work ethic.
"Listen, I think the mentality and the work ethic is second to none. He's got talent, this boy's got talent. I think when you put in that amount of work to improve yourself, to better yourself, the only way is up. There's not a single person that would be able to keep a player like that down,” McCarthy said glowingly.
KickOff.com also reported McCarthy’s hesitation on the timing of the player’s Bafana Bafana call-up.
McCarthy went on to say: "So I'm delighted for him. Maybe too little, too late because the likes of him, Siphesihle Ndlovu, these players have been on form since the end of last year and the beginning of the whole season, or since December last year. Call-up only now, eish."
With such rave reviews, it’s fairly obvious why Nodada was named the club’s Player of the season last term.
