It's easy to be negative and only notice the bad things that happen. But every now and then something really good happens and we can't pretend everything is all bad, all the time. An unemployed man returned a stolen phone instead of selling it and the kind act warmed South African hearts.
Daniel Kent-Brown shared the beautiful story on social media:
So earlier this week I posted that I had my phone stolen . Yesterday I had one of my clients phone in and let me know that my phone is on and a man has given his details to hand my phone back.
The man who had my phone saw the guys who took it and reported them and got my phone from them. He charged my phone and gave me all the details as to where he is and now I have it.
What has actually gotten me emotional is that this man is unemployed and desperately needs money for his family and his little son who stay in Tembisa with absolutely nothing yet he still chose to be honest and return it instead of pawning it or whatever.
Mfethu you are honestly an inspiration and make me want to be a better person and you’ve made me appreciate the moral of honesty and character. You never change or use your situation as an excuse to do bad things.
This was an amazing deed by a man with real character. Mfethu deserves more than a Bells or a pat on the shoulder. This man deserves to have his every dream come true.
South Africans were deeply moved and shared their admiration of Mfethu on social media as well:
Stash Mawila Now this is South Africa we want

Jabulile Mbatha - We need more people like this guy
Suzan Grillo Moscato - Good man.

Harry Mawela - South Africa I want to see...
Helen Eleftheriou - Wow now this is the type of people SA needs

This is indeed the South Africa we want to see. A beautiful country filled with beautiful people with hopeful hearts.
