Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are expecting their first child together. The couple had reportedly announced the good news to the Queen and the rest of the royal family at Princess Eugenie's wedding on Friday, October 12.

According to DailyMail, the couple broke the news after they were spotted beaming with joy as they touched down in Sydney, for their first major international tour since their May wedding at Windsor Castle.

The Duchess of Sussex is said to be in good condition and would be expecting her child in late April. The couple already have a successful 12 week scan of their baby.

In the announcement released to the public, the couple thanked people around the world for the support they have showed them.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public."

The Duchess of Sussex's mother Doria Ragland was seen taking baby-care classes in Pasadena, California last month.

According to royal sources, Ragland may move to London from the United States to help her look after the baby because Meghan does not want to hire a nanny.

The baby will be the Queen's eighth great-grandchild, in Kensington Palace.
