A Twitter user, @PhilsnerDDI, recently shared a photo of a man proudly posing next to his new car, but some tweeps weren't impressed.

The car is seemingly an old model. Mindful of this, @PhilsnerDDI sought to urge tweeps not to belittle the achievements of others. He wrote:

Don’t let anyone tell you your achievements are not achievements.

The tweet has gone viral, garnering a whopping 10,000 likes and 2,700 retweets so far. @Philsner did not reveal the identity of the new car owner.

The picture divided opinion among Twitter users. While some congratulated the man on his new acquisition, others were not overly impressed.

Owning a car in the current tough economic environment in South Africa is no mean feat.

Briefly.co.za recently reported that a Joburg man, who couldn't afford to but a car, decided to build one from scratch and it's fully functional.
