Viral video shows taxi running 3 red robots in Randburg

A video was shared on social media on Sunday, which showed a taxi running three red robots in Randburg.

Social media user @Alfie012 took to Twitter on 14 October, to post a video of a taxi driver disregarding the law by driving through red robots.

He captioned the video, "@AsktheChiefJMPD @Abramjee @JMPDSafety @GTP_Traffstats This taxi went through 3 red robots in Randburg just now."

The video sparked outrage on social media and tweeps added they were fed up with taxi drivers disregarding the law.

Social media user @Ms_F1971 commented: "They should be in jail for attempted murder. Mininum must be at least 5 years. With no bail."
Johnny Schwartz, who goes by the Twitter handle @JohnnySchwart19, added: "This happens all day everyday taxis think they own the roads."
Patricia Brown, @Bohemian_Rhapso, wrote: "They are a law unto themselves and make commuting a nightmare for every law abiding driver!"
Twitter user @islolly commented: "This is an everyday occurrence in the Johannesburg CBD! Most taxis don't care about traffic rules! Guess they also know that @JMPDSafety are nowhere to be seen!"
