Baby Cele has been in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years so she has learned a thing or two about how she should have managed her money, but she hopes that her story will inspire others to be more cautious.

The ‘Uzalo’ actress has recently confessed that she has had her car and home repossessed after she was unable to pay for them.

During ‘Dinner with Dudu’, an event held by radio personality Dudu Khoza, Baby decided to talk about her run in with the debt collector and it wasn’t because she didn’t have work.

Briefly.co.za learned that at the time she lost her house, Baby was busy with ‘Sarafina’ and earning $500 a week.

According to ZAlebs, the actress hid her money troubles from her friends and family, they didn’t even know that the debt collector had paid her a visit.

Baby chose to reveal her story at ‘Dinner with Dudu’, which is aimed to educate everyone who aspires to be a part of the entertainment industry about some of the realities that they will face.

Thankfully now, Baby has managed to get back on her feet, but she hopes that someone will learn from her story and that they won’t make the same mistakes she did.
