Cassper might be ditching his indie artist title for a major label

Cassper Nyovest has done pretty well for himself on his own, but he has been dropping hints that his days as an independent artist might be numbered.

Cassper released his first three albums without a label and they were all successful, but now he wonders how much better they would do if he was signed to a company like Sony.

In a series of tweets, the ‘Tito Mboweni’ hitmaker shared his thoughts about his achievements so far and how much further along his career would be if he had the backing of a big label.

Mufasa has realised that if he wants to push his music internationally, then he would need to be signed to a big company that could hook him up. The only catch for Cassper is that it will come at a price.

According to TimesLIVE, the rapper knows that sharing his profits with a label is the wisest thing to do in the long run, however he is a little apprehensive about doing so.

At one point he even went as far as to say that people have referred to him as a ‘genius’ for how much he has changed the game.

The rapper knows that he has achieved a lot over his career, but he has to work hard for it. Even with a label backing him, Cassper knows it’s only the beginning and he will have to keep hustling to get ahead.
