- Jo-Anne Reyneke and Thami Mngqolo broke up earlier this year
- She spoke out about it this week on the Fresh Breakfast
- Thami is a good father and they are co-parenting well, the problem was between them as a couple
Nothing lasts forever and that sucks. The scariest thing about falling in love is the possibility of it not working out. Jo-Anne Reyneke knows all about this.
The actress ended her relationship with Thami Mngqolo earlier this year. Breakups are never easy, especially when you have the whole of Mzansi in your business.
Jo-Anne opened up about the breakup when she was on the Fresh Breakfast this week, reported ZAlebs. It is never easy talking about these things, but it can help.
It has been around nine months since the two called it quits. They have children together and have taken on the co-parenting routine well.
Briefly.co.za learnt that co-parenting has been a breeze for them. She stated that Thami is a good father and it makes it easy to co-parent with him.
She made it clear that it had nothing to do with them as parents or with their children. It was all to do with them as a couple. “As partners it wasn’t working anymore," Jo-Anne stated.
There was a feeling of needing more and this is what brought on the break up. Jo-Anne said that she got the feeling that she ‘deserved more’ or and that is when she knew “it’s time to part”.
It took her a long time to actually make the decision to leave. Jo-Anne said it took her over six months to come to terms with things and make the final decision.
Jo-Anne and Thami made the choice to focus on their children. The split was important for everyone as they felt that their “kids deserve happy parents".
It takes a lot to be that selfless and to come to terms with the end. It seems that Jo-Anne and Thami made the right decision in calling it quits.
