10 years of Khanya Mkangisa: From teen TV star to top SA celeb

It's hard to believe the stunning Khanya Mkangisa has been in the industry for more than a decade. She's one of South Africa's most loved stars and started her career at a very young age.

Now, Khanya is 30 and successful. She an actress and presenter. But did you know she started her career at just 15 years old. We first met Khanya when she showed off her presenting skills on YoTV.

According to a report by ZALebs, Khanya has a BA degree in Motion picture and Television.

Since her debut in the industry, she has jumped from her role as a presenter to becoming one of SA's most loved actors. She's known for her roles in Rockville, Isidingo, Zabalaza and many other shows.

She also turns head, because she doesn't look a day over 18. It's no wonder fans can still relate to her.

Briefly.co.za gathered that at one stage, Khanya found it hard to break through the entertainment industry, however, she's now a force to reckon with.

Khanya also has some powerful friendships. The most talked about friendship in Mzansi is between Boiti Thulo and Khanya.

The two often go on holiday together.

Khanya's skills aren't limited to TV though. She also has a heart of gold and has worked alongside many celebrities when she participates in Thando Thabethe’s ‘Make It Stop’ campaign. The campaign is a drive against women abuse in the country.

For Khanya, her presenting skills come naturally. She also enjoys many endorsements deals and has been the cover star on several magazines.
